Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is hiring for an onsite assembly role in Byesville, OH. You will assemble small components for heavy‑duty trucks, use hoists, gauges and air tools, and follow standardized work procedures.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and teamwork, with opportunities for training, rotation, and ongoing improvement. The position is open to local applicants with a favorable benefit package and a structured work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform repetitive hand manipulation and operate power & hand tools.
• Stand for an entire shift on concrete with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and follow Work Station Instructions and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components for heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks with adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Operate hoist, gauges, air tools and other equipment according to procedures.
• Follow rotation plan and complete training matrix for each position.
• Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping activities.

This position is responsible for the assembly of Small Components (EGR valves, Water Pumps, OCM’s, Fuel Pumps, Bull Gears, Accessory Drives, Connecting Rods, and Jake Brakes. Tooling used for these jobs are misc. gauges, hoist, and air tools. Innovative products begin with talented, highly motivated individuals. What You Drive at DTNA

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including:

• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks
• Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy .

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power & hand tools
• Must be able to stand on concrete for an entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must maintain a clean work area.
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
• Cross training on other jobs as required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
• Previous mechanical experience
• High School Diploma / GED is preferred and further college education a plus
