Job summary

Adecco Staffing is seeking an experienced Shipping & Warehouse Supervisor on 1st shift for a manufacturing and distribution company in East Providence, RI. This role pays $25.00 per hour and runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

You will supervise daily shipping and receiving, coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, manage a small warehouse team and ensure on-time deliveries, inventory accuracy, and safe, OSHA-compliant operations.

Qualifications

2+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving or distribution.
Experience coordinating LTL and truckload freight.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and shipping procedures.
Experience with WMS and inventory software.
Working knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping software.
Forklift and material handling experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based inventory systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations and lead a small warehouse team.
Coordinate inbound and outbound LTL and truckload shipments.
Schedule deliveries and ensure materials arrive and ship on time.
Oversee receiving, inspection, storage and inventory documentation.
Monitor inventory levels and investigate discrepancies.
Work with production and other departments to keep materials moving.
Use WMS and inventory/shipping systems to track materials and shipments.
Conduct routine audits and ensure company procedures are followed.
Maintain a clean, organized and OSHA-compliant warehouse.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
