Job summary

ITW Shakeproof in Elgin, IL is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate with customer service, carriers, and drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate documentation. You will create and interpret shipping orders, arrange carrier pickups, enter data for bills of lading, file shipping records, and use an RF scanner to verify products throughout the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or logistics certificate, data-entry skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or logistics certificate.
• Six months related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and safety rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-entry skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create and interpret shipping orders based on routing instructions.
• Interpret and arrange shipping instructions on orders.
• Contact carrier representatives to coordinate loading and shipping.
• Ensure ASN and documentation accuracy within required time frames.
• Provide customer service to on-site carriers and manage paperwork.
• Enter data for bills of lading and maintain records.
• Use RF Scanner to verify product movement and correct issues.
• Collaborate with shipping team to meet customer needs.
