Job summary

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is hiring for a 1st Shift Saw Operator in Kernersville, NC. You will operate routine production machinery according to prints and specifications, measure parts, and keep accurate logs.

You will follow safety rules, maintain equipment, and work with a team to meet quality tolerances. This position requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of relevant experience; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $28.03annually. Typical ... the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
