Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Sanitation Technician for the first shift in Indianapolis, IN. You will keep production areas clean, manage waste, and support daily sanitation schedules to ensure GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, and equipment, stocking dispensers, and operating cleaning machinery. Candidates should have strong teamwork and communication skills and the stamina to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must understand oral and written English.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills required.
• Ability to work extended hours while standing.
• Good job performance and attendance records required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and follows all safety guidelines at all times.
• Performs general cleaning in plant areas per MSS.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms and empty trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Mix water and cleaners according to specifications.
• Clean windows, mirrors, or glass partitions.
• Stock GMP dispensers.
• Remove trash from production and operate trash compactors.
• Operate and clean floor scrubbers and related equipment.
