Job summary

Food Authority is seeking a Reach Machine Operator to handle safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products in a fast-paced warehouse. You will rotate stock, fill pick slots, and put away all incoming frozen deliveries, while following safety policies.

Ideal candidates have stand-up reach truck experience, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF equipment. This full-time role is based at our Jessup location with a 6:00 am start time.

Qualifications

• Must have Stand Up Reach Machine experience.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency.
• Must be18 yrs or over
• The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment and radio frequency equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.

Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged products, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.

Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm five days a week, with Thursdays and Fridays as scheduled days off. This would be a 40-hour per week position.

Rate: $18.00 per hour

Required skills and abilities:

Physical requirements:

• The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly

Minimum Reach machine operator requirements:

• Must be18 yrs or over
• 1 year Reach Truck experience
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency.
• Must have Stand Up Reach Machine experience
• Must be able to work in a freezer environment

Reach Machine Operator demands:

• Safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment and radio frequency equipment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines.
