Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Salary: $25.00 / Hour

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30am - 2:30pm M-F / Train from 8:00am-4:00pm

Summary:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will work within the Quality Control Team to plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, testing, and integration to assure quality products/components.
  2. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current processes and process changes.
  3. Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
  4. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  5. Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements.
  6. Prepare and present technical reports and program information on results of quality assurance activities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 2-year technical school degree in STEM or related field or military equivalent.
  • 2+ years related experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Desired certifications include Six Sigma Yellow Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Technician.
  • Mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and experience working with engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control and applying basic statistical techniques.
  • Ability to operate (basic functions) in an ERP Computer environment (SAP preferred).
  • Experience working with a Quality Management System in an ISO 9001 / 17025 environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
