Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a quality inspector to support our 1st shift in North Carolina. You will perform quality inspections, document findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet specifications.

Qualifications include at least 6 months of experience and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of prior work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and document results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections based on the check- list of inspection points/procedures.
• Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.).
• Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
• Inspects products to ensure it meets the specifications.
• Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.
• Cross-functional communication to complete tasks.
