Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for the 1st shift in Salisbury, NC. You will measure and visually inspect material to ensure customer quality requirements are met, using prints, checklists, and various measuring devices.

Under close supervision, you will document data, enforce tolerances, stop nonconforming processes, help investigate issues, and prepare reports. A high school diploma and basic Microsoft Office skills are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of management or quality assurance experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Records measurements and other critical data.
• Identifies acceptable tolerances according to prints and documents.
• Stops production and notifies proper personnel upon nonconformances.
• Assists in investigation of quality issues and ensures corrective actions are implemented.

Uses prints, checklists, and various measuring devices. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
