Job summary

Fortress Nutrition, LLC is seeking a hands-on 1st Shift Production Supervisor for our food & beverage operations. You will be actively on the floor alongside your team, troubleshooting equipment, supporting repairs, and driving uptime in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 4+ years leading a team, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to changing production priorities. Standard shift is 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday with OT and weekends as needed.

• 4+ years of experience leading, overseeing, and directing a team (including performance management, coaching, training, disciplinaries, interviewing, etc.)
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Flexibility to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

Fortress Nutrition is growing, and we're looking for a strong, hands‑on 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our rapidly growing food & beverage operations! This is a working supervisor role, meaning you'll be actively on the floor alongside your team - troubleshooting equipment, supporting repairs, and driving uptime in a fast‑paced food/beverage manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule:

Standard Hours: 1st Shift (6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday); OT and weekends as needed

What You'll Do

• Supervise and support production employees during the shift.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and compliant with food safety rules.
• Ensure daily production goals are met while maintaining product quality and food safety.
• Work side‑by‑side with team members to solve problems as they come up.
• Help train, motivate, and grow team members, as well as handle sensitive employee interactions, including disciplinary actions, performance management, corrective action, separations, etc.
• Promote continuous improvement throughout the department and work area.
• Provide daily production reports to the Director of Operations.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 4+ years of experience leading, overseeing, and directing a team (including performance management, coaching, training, disciplinaries, interviewing, etc.)
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to quickly and thoughtfully adjust priorities and adapt to changes in production as needed
• Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in English
• Flexibility to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a food/beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Previous experience in a blending/batching role, understanding blending principles and basic shop math

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance
• Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift
