Job Title: Production Associate - 1st
Location: Omaha, NE
Hours: M-TH 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Fridays as needed

As a Production Associate, you'll make an impact by:

• Packaging hay and hay-based products for delivery to customers, ensuring products meet all quality assurance specifications including appearance and weight.
• Following all safety procedures, and wearing required personal safety equipment.
• Following all food safety procedures.
• Properly operating packaging equipment to prevent personal injury, damage to equipment, and downtime. Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not running properly.
• Maintaining production rates that meet company goals for daily output and product quality.
• Working on designated line and changing lines when needed and directed by supervisor.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a production setting preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work with hay and hay-based products.
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds (100 pound requirement for bulk), with some overhead lifting.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and walk across uneven surfaces while working.
• Ability to operate equipment for moving materials, if applicable.
• To better ensure the operational performance and safety of the business and the individual, the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Consistent and regular attendance is required as an essential job function. These hours are subject to change based upon company needs.

Work Environment

Due to the nature of the work, must be able to stand for long hours at a time, perform repetitive tasks with minimal supervision and withstand hot temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasional extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling.
