Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a 1st Shift Processing Tech I for our City of Industry, California location. This on-site role supports aerospace and industrial fastener production with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Essential duties include basic shop math, reading and following instructions in English, and completing first piece verifications. The position requires lifting up to 30 pounds and willingness to learn measurement techniques and lock out/tagout certification.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship not available.
• Access to export-controlled items; Applicants must be able to lawfully access such items.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Good communication skills and knowledge of basic shop math.
• Able to read, write and understand basic instructions in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Able to learn how to use measurement instruments.
• Ability to follow directions and complete first piece verification.
• Maintain a good attitude and be willing to learn; communicate with team members and Production Team Leader.
• Ability to become certified in lock out/tag out and to be familiar with Human Performance tasks.
