Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Saint Charles, MO is hiring a Press Assistant for 1st shift. The position pays $16.50 per hour and runs Mon-Thurs from 4:00am to 2:30pm, with potential for hire.

You will check products for blister card quality, document results daily, operate presses at appropriate speeds, assist with basic tooling changes, and keep the work area clean while following startup and end-of-day procedures. Teamwork and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot mechanical or process control problems.
• Navigate and use the Auto count system to meet standards.
• Differentiate between colors and shades for QC.
• Attendance on-site required.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks product and monitors quality of blisters and cards.
• Records appropriate documentation as needed on a daily basis.
• Willing/able to work as part of a team.
• Communicates non-conformance to lead operator.
• Properly moves products from staging areas to machines.
• Able to run machinery at appropriate speeds and scrap levels.
• Able to perform daily preventive maintenance.
• Able to change basic press tooling.
• Keeps machine and work area clean and organized.
• Continuously follows instructions/directions of Startup and End of Day Cleanup Procedures.
• Willing/able to run the Heat Seal machine the lead, or supervision, assigns.
• Communicates with co-workers and supervision in a professional manner.
• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
