Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machinist for 1st shift in a contract-to-hire role based in Ohio. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, set up Haas, Makino, and Doosan mills, and load/edit CNC programs to meet tight tolerances.

You will inspect parts with precision instruments and document results, while upholding safety standards. Applicants should have 3+ years of CNC milling experience, strong metrology skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC milling experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience loading and adjusting CNC programs.
• Experience with G-code and M-code edits.
• Familiarity with Haas, Makino, and Doosan mills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Safety-focused with adherence to shop procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints and determine machining requirements.
• Load programs, adjust offsets, and edit as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Document inspections and any program changes.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain tooling and keep the work area clean and organized.
