Job description

UE Manufacturing is now hiring a 1st Shift Painter at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. The role involves performing painting and surface preparation duties according to UE Manufacturing and product manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities
  1. Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals for surface preparation and cleaning.
  2. Work inside paint booths, shops, wash bays, or outdoors.
  3. Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.
  4. Properly prepare and tape off surfaces before painting.
  5. Safely hang parts for painting.
  6. Remove painted parts from racks carefully and prepare for shipping.
  7. Maintain a strong commitment to safety culture.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.
  • Ability to read blueprints and paint codes, and mix paint.
  • Use of various measuring devices.
  • Capable of using proper PPE.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; occasionally lift 65 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 50 lbs (no wheels) or 100 lbs (with wheels).
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, reaching.
  • Work in narrow spaces and work requiring repetitive movements.
  • Manual dexterity for working with fingers.
  • Normal vision with or without correction.
  • Exposure to cold, heat, noise, fumes, or odors.
  • Occasional work beyond 8 hours per shift.
  • Work at heights of at least four feet.
  • Operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and vehicles as needed.
