The role includes daily yard walkarounds, following supervisor directions, and maintaining workflow during schedule changes. Key duties include preparing wagons for blasting, coordinating with the loading dept, assembling paperwork, and ensuring safe loading.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Walk the yard and list items available for the shop at shift start and end.
• Follow supervisor priorities and keep work flowing as schedules change.
• Prepare wagons for blasters and coordinate with the loading department.
• Assemble paperwork, pull prints, and track items accurately.
• Inspect wagons/trailers for safe loading and assist in directing bays.
• Perform conductivity/dust tests and solvent cleaning as applicable.
• Run the reclaim system 1–2 times daily depending on workflow.
• Adhere to safety policies and reject unsafe work with supervisor awareness.
