Job summary

Polygon is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support packing, shipping, and receiving in a three-level progression path. The role develops cross-functional skills and offers growth opportunities in a composite manufacturing environment.

The position emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with drivers and internal teams, and willingness to engage in continuous improvement initiatives across the full supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSE).
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 – Execute daily tasks in assigned area (packing, shipping, or receiving).
• Level 1 – Maintain accuracy of documentation, labeling, and system updates.
• Level 1 – Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams as required.
• Level 2 – Perform responsibilities across two areas (e.g., Shipping & Receiving, Packing & Shipping, or Packing & Receiving).
• Level 2 – Cross-train and support peers to balance workload across functions.
• Level 2 – Assist with inventory checks, material flow, and staging activities.
• Level 2 – Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency.
• Level 2 – Support process improvement initiatives.
• Level 3 – Perform all tasks across Packing, Shipping, and Receiving.
• Level 3 – Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspection, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
• Level 3 – Prepare, package, label, and stage outbound materials per specifications.
• Level 3 – Oversee receiving activities including verification against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
• Level 3 – Provide training and guidance to Level 1-2 Specialists.
• Level 3 – Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Level 3 – Contribute to LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
