Job summary

Peoplemark is seeking a Packer for a plastics and die-casting manufacturing center in Owensboro, KY. You will pack components for window-covering products, label items, and ensure accurate shipment preparation.

The role involves data entry in SAP, operating baggers and scanners, and moving goods with pallet jacks. Standard shift is 7:00am–3:30pm, with potential for 10-hour days and Saturdays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pack products and ensure correct labeling and placement for shipment.
• Input data into SAP for inventory tracking.
• Operate scanners and print labels for products.
• Calculate piece counts from weights and use calculator as needed.
• Move products using pallet jacks and two-wheelers.
• Inspect products for defects before packing.
• Operate auto bagger and manual bagger machines.
• Identify open orders and place products on correct pallets for shipment.

Job description

Our client has the need for someone to join their team working in their Packing Dept. This client is a plastics and die-casting manufacturing center that produces component parts for window-covering products.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am 3:30pm (the potential of working 10-hour days & possibility of Saturdays is required)

Hourly Rate: $14.00 per hour (paid weekly)

Packer position job duties to include, but not limited to:

• Ensuring all products are packed, labeled correctly and moving them to the appropriate areas for shipment
• Must be able to input data into SAP (inventory system)
• Use of scanners, printing labels for products
• Calculate piece counts from piece weights and perform basic functions on a calculator
• Must be able to move product with pallet jacks and 2-wheelers
• Inspect all products for quality defects prior to packing
• Operates auto bagger and manual bagger machines
• Be able to determine from an open order status which customer ordered which product and place the product on the proper pallet for shipment
• Must be able to determine how to package all products from the packing work instructions

Safety Glasses, Jeans or khaki work pants are acceptable, t-shirt and tennis shoes are fine (steel-toed boots or shoes are not required)
