The company is at an exciting inflection as we continue to expand our existing brand portfolio and deepen relationships with new and existing customers. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the processing of oil into transformers.

LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 2402 Walkup Ave. Monroe, NC 28110


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret specification documents to determine characteristics required for specific unit to be assembled.
  • Per the job packet, prep parts to go on vacuum the next day.
  • Fill units at the exact time necessary to complete process time.
  • Torque units down with torque wrench to proper torque pounds.
  • Fill out paperwork, pertaining to oil fill area.
  • Wipe down units with alcohol after filling in to avoid any concerns of leaks.
  • Transfer oil from tank to tank as instructed by Supervisor.
  • Process oil in tank B at required length of time.
  • Keep the work area clean.
  • Must be willing to work on Saturdays.
  • Clocking in and out of jobs using Factory Track.
  • Safety is First priority.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Must have a minimum of 1-year manufacturing experience and proven work stability history.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge, data entry experience, and working knowledge of various equipment and tools.
  • Operate material handling equipment: Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or ITEC certification.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED

This position is carried out in a plant environment and as such has the following physical requirements:

  • Must have a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination, as they must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small.
  • Must know basic math (read a tape measure) and must be able to use computers, as the manufacturing process continues to advance technologically.
  • Modern production systems require assemblers to be able to use programmable motion-control devices, computers, and robots on the factory floor. Use of hand and power tools.
  • Assemblers must be able to understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for a wide range of products and machines to properly manufacture the final product.
  • Must be strong enough to lift heavy components 75+ pounds.
