Job summary

Amcor Lawrence KS is seeking a Material Handler to perform color changes, move products and raw materials on the production floor, and maintain equipment and records. This role offers hands-on training for a technical track and requires attention to safety and quality.

The position demands lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work extended shifts, and forklift certification. Starting pay is $21.53 per hour, with benefits typical of a full-time hourly role at Amcor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary.
• Need fork truck certification.
• Must have good communications skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare production machines using resin, additives, colors, IMLs, and packaging materials.
• Perform scheduled color changes and maintain color staging area.
• Assist floaters with breaks and inspectors/packers with material handling.
• Package finished products, operate skid wrappers, and prepare skids for shipment.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by scanning, labeling, and counting scrap.
• Complete quality and production documentation.
