1st shift Material Handler - O'Neal Manufacturing Services

Position Details

Location: O'Neal Industries, Inc. | Houston, TX 77020

The Material Handler will operate forklifts, manage work order transactions, load/unload trucks, receive parts, and pull stock within the plant.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure workplace safety.
2. Streamline workflow in a safe, timely, and organized manner.
3. Move materials using appropriate equipment.
4. Load and unload materials.
5. Stage materials as needed.
6. Utilize computer systems and ERP for transactions.
7. Handle shipping and receiving duties, including inventory management and outbound shipments.
8. Operate forklifts (up to 15,000 lbs.) and other material handling equipment.
9. Provide accurate, error-free work for internal and external customers.
10. Count and wrap pallets.
11. Support safety and quality programs by following established procedures.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Simple problem-solving skills.
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
4. Proficiency with hand tools and measuring tapes.
5. Knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
6. High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical Requirements

1. Lift 20-30 lbs. repeatedly.
2. Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
3. Walk 2-5 miles during shifts.
4. Good vision (20/30 with correction).
5. Fine motor coordination.

Environmental Conditions

• Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including temperature changes, noise, vibration, and hazards.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, gases, and poor ventilation.
• Exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
