Position Summary

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Material Handler with Shipping and Receiving experience.
2. Unload, move and store a variety of material, parts or products.
3. Check identification, quantities, report shortages/overages, ensure FIFO inventory rotations.
4. Move materials between departments, fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock.
5. Process inventory transactions in ERP system.
6. Maintain traceability and identification of product.
7. Assist with Cycle Counts and Annual Physical Inventory.
8. Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance with safety policies and procedures.
9. Strong verbal and written communication.
10. Forklift certification within 60 days of hire; previous experience required.
11. Proficient in all types of scales used in facility within 30 days of hire.
12. Ability to transact all Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping or Cycle Count functions in ERP system within 90 days of assignment/training.
13. Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days and ability to train other team members.
14. Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem-solving skills.
15. Ability to train team members.
16. Utilize Lean tools and be active participant in Lean events and High Performance Teams.
17. Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.
18. Train, Perform or Backup in Receiving or Shipping or Cycle Count (but only one of the three).
19. Backup for Lead functions per assignment (Ship, Receive, or Cycle Count).
20. Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment.
21. Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
22. Other assignments as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
2. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected.
4. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse, receiving or shipping environment; Forklift experience required.
5. Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English.
6. Math Skills: Medium math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert fractions to decimals, and follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF).
7. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand and walk the majority of the shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
