Job description

Job Title: Forklift Operator.

Location: Pella Corporation.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st shift) with the possibility of overtime until 5:30 PM.
Saturdays, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM as needed.

Pay Rate: $22.84/hour to start.

Summary of Position:

Drives gasoline, propane, or battery-powered industrial vehicles equipped with lifting devices to push, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Completes daily lift truck checklist to ensure maintenance repairs are addressed. Performs other duties as assigned by manager or lead. Must successfully acquire a Forklift Operation Certificate through a training course.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass drug screen.
• Pass pre-employment tests, as required.
• Pass pre-work ability screen, as required.
• Pass Job Certification test(s), as required.
• Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience required
• Experience with various types of forklifts (gasoline, propane, battery-powered).
• Indoor forklift operation experience.
• Comfortable with fast-paced work environments and meeting productivity goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively using a radio with coworkers, leads, and managers.
• Experience lifting and moving heavy products (up to 80 lbs) frequently throughout an 8-10 hour shift.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalency desired.
• Manufacturing-related experience preferred.
• Job-specific experience preferred.
