Job summary

Novacel in Palmer, MA is seeking a dedicated material handler to move, store and track materials and finished goods across our production areas. You will receive, organize and deliver materials to support workflow and efficiency.

This role requires focus on inventory accuracy, safe handling and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You will operate material handling equipment and perform cycle counting and labeling tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience operating sit-down and stand-up material handing equipment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Able to withstand prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Able to work in various environmental conditions, including temperature changes and noise.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, package, and prepare materials for shipment.
• Label and relabel materials as needed, including creating labels.
• Load and unload containers and trucks.
• Maintain organization of inventory and storage areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
