Position Title

1st Shift Manufacturing Production Operator

Location

PAC - Pennsylvania Cable

Summary / Objective

Responsible for the manufacturing of connector assemblies, cable assemblies and cable. This includes but is not limited to operating wrappers, braiders, extruders, presses, soldering equipment, measuring tools, and testing equipment.

Shift Time

Mon‑Fri 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Understand and operate production machinery.
• Efficiently read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understand how to read assembly drawings and manufacture the parts accordingly.
• Monitor quality of both raw materials and finished goods.
• Maintain all production paperwork, including quality assurance and efficiency information.
• Set up and make minor adjustments to equipment.
• Perform processes associated with assembly of connectors, attaching connectors to the cable and cable manufacturing.
• Test cable and assemblies using network analyzers and TDRs.

* The operator responsibilities are defined to serve as a general guideline. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Physical requirements: capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
• Lifting requirements: Light work, exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.

Preferred Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training Required

• On-the-job training as appropriate.
