Samtec, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Manufacturing Production Operator for its PAC Pennsylvania Cable location. You will manufacture connector and cable assemblies, operate wrappers, braiders, extruders, presses, and testing equipment, while ensuring quality and accurate documentation.

The role requires reading drawings, basic measurement tools, and following safety and process instructions. On-the-job training is provided as part of a supportive team culture.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to stand/sit for extended periods and perform light lifting.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and quality requirements.
• Operate and monitor production equipment and tooling.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality metrics.
• Perform testing and inspection of assembled cables and components.

• Understand and operate production machinery.
• Efficiently read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understand how to read assembly drawings and manufacture parts accordingly.

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Location: PAC - Pennsylvania Cable

Summary/Objective: Responsible for the manufacturing of connector assemblies, cable assemblies and cable. This includes but is not limited to operating wrappers, braiders, extruders, presses, soldering equipment, measuring tools, and testing equipment.

1. M-F 6am-2:30pm

Ability to Learn Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Understand and operate production machinery.
• Efficiently read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understands how to read assembly drawings and manufacture the parts accordingly.
• Monitors quality of both raw materials and finished goods.
• Maintains all production paperwork, including quality assurance and efficiency information.
• Sets up and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
• Perform processes associated with assembly of connectors, attaching connectors to the cable and cable manufacturing.
• Test cable and assemblies using network analyzers and TDRs.

* The operator responsibilities are defined to serve as a general guideline. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities. *

Required Experience:

• Physical Requirements: capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
• Lifting Requirements: Light work Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.

Preferred Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training Required:

• On the job training as appropriate.
