1st Shift Maintenance Technician (7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Join Richelieu Foods as a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician (7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.).

Position Details

Location: Beaver Dam, WI

Type: Full-time, Mid-Senior level

Industry: Food and Beverage Manufacturing

Responsibilities

1. Observe mechanical devices in operation to identify issues.
2. Fabricate, disassemble, and assemble production equipment to access and replace defective parts.
3. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
4. Lubricate and clean parts.
5. Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines, document work hours on applicable work orders.
6. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair production equipment.
7. Weld, perform sheet metal work, and use basic shop floor tools (lathe, drill press, grinder).
8. Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment based on blueprints and drawings.
9. Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting drive components (bearings, belts, sprockets, etc.) and proper alignment.
• Ability to inspect and recommend replacements and maintenance actions.
• Experience with GMPs and SQF audits is desirable.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
• Good communication skills for reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical skills for calculations and basic algebra/geometry.
• Problem-solving skills in variable situations.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, cold, wet conditions, and loud noise.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
