Job summary

Camco Manufacturing in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across production areas, warehouse, and offices. The role may include operating forklifts and handling product movement while upholding the company's core values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical abilities and general facility maintenance.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred (2–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and inspection on equipment in warehouse and production areas.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance, installation, and repairs on building systems and manufacturing equipment including plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and electrical.
• Apply proficiency in two or more trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting).
• Subject to on-call coverage shift changes.
• Participate in routine inspections (QC, preventive maintenance, machinery).
• Move inventory and operate forklift, pallet jack, and handcart.
• Maintain a safe work environment following OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrate safe use of tools and equipment.
• Adhere to company values and continuously learn.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Maintenance Technician

Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general preventive maintenance in our production areas, warehouse, and offices. May also be required to perform product handler and forklift operator duties; promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.

Responsibilities:

• Performs general maintenance and inspection on equipment for warehouse such as conveyor systems, sortation systems, Lift tables, scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, safety harnesses, etc.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance, installation, and repairs on a variety of building systems and appliances, manufacturing equipment, including, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and electrical.
• Apply proficient skills in two or more of the following trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc. to ensure quality maintained facilities and equipment.
• Subject to on-call coverage shift changes
• Participate in routine inspections (including QC, preventative maintenance, machinery, etc.).
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, office areas, maintenance shop, warehouse, etc.
• Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Comply with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety, or environment
• Understand and follow safe work practices for all trades, including but not limited to: Lockout Tag-out, Confined Space Entry, use of hazardous chemicals, use of Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, and working from Elevated Surfaces.
• Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment; including forklift, pallet jack, and handcart.
• Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent experience
• Advanced mechanical abilities and general facility maintenance
• Strong Electrical and PLC Skills
• Computer skills desired for operating warehouse management system (WMS)
• 2-3 years of forklift experience, strongly preferred
• 3-5 years of manufacturing field experience
