1st shift - Maintenance Mechanic - Thomasville, GA

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locate mechanical issues by observing devices in operation, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.
• Dismantle devices to replace defective parts, using hoists, cranes, and hand tools.
• Inspect parts to determine dimensional changes, using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
• Reduce downtime by informing production staff about routine maintenance and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts with machine shop instrumentation.
• Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies, including ordering and verifying receipt.
• Use resources efficiently to complete maintenance tasks.
• Provide maintenance information and support by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare maintenance reports by analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
• Stay updated with technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
• Document and communicate maintenance actions and needs to ensure team continuity.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Advanced technical or college training preferred.
• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience.
• 3-5 years of understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and CNC equipment.
• Optional but preferred: Basic PLC experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools and computer systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented with minimal supervision capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
