1st Shift Maintenance Associate Technician

Role Overview

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician in the 1st Shift to join our team in Dekorra, WI. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, as well as evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance equipment availability, capability, and yield. The Maintenance Technician has primary accountability to perform equipment failure analyses, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, and prepare technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.

This position is on 1st Shift with a starting pay of $27.15/hour, depending on experience.

You Will
  • Apply advanced skills to the position or specialization.
  • Complete work with limited supervision.
  • Act as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Utilize a range of processes, procedures, and tools/equipment or develop deep skills in a specific technical area.
  • Coordinate with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Explain technical information within the team.
  • Assist with health and safety procedures and implement biosafety and biosecurity measures.
  • Manage transportation, equipment, and facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure effective use of equipment and facilities to optimize costs and manage on-site fuel as applicable.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities related to livestock.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Electrician/welder/stokers license preferred and may be required regionally.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a farm setting.
  • 1-2 years of experience with mechanical automation and basic maintenance in a farm setting.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
