Job summary

AMETEK LMS is seeking a dedicated Machinist II for the 1st shift to join our production team in Aurora, IL. The role focuses on executing standard work, operating and inspecting value stream workstation outputs, and calibrating simple assemblies to specification.

Strong reading and writing in English, basic math skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. Prior lathe, drill, and grinder experience is preferred, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and writing English and basic math.
• Ability to read blueprints or specifications is a plus.
• Comfort with basic measurement equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard work with support from others on complex tasks.
• Operate and inspect value stream workstation output.
• Operate and inspect all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
• Execute standard work with quality and limited discrepancies, aiming for improvement.
• Train other associates.
