Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator on 1st shift at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. This role oversees safe operation of equipment and produces components per a daily production schedule.

The successful candidate will communicate with management and team leads, perform quality checks, read and interpret a tape measure, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Training is provided; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• On-the-job training provided; prior machine experience is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must be forklift certified.
• Must read and interpret a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely according to production schedule.
• Maintain neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Perform cutting operations per specifications.
• Record data into the SAP system.
• Conduct quality checks to meet customer specs.
• Follow work instructions to maintain requirements.
• Ensure finished product is labeled correctly.
• Read and interpret a tape measure for production.
• Transport and load product to designated areas.
• Assist with inventory as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
