Job summary

Pratt Industries in Austell, GA, is seeking a Machine Operator for 1st shift. You will set up, operate, and clean the machinery and suggest process improvements.

Must be able to learn mechanical setup, troubleshoot issues, and use basic Production software. Corrugated industry experience preferred; benefits include insurance, a 401(k) with partial match, and paid vacation after milestones.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Prior experience as a helper preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality including print, size, warp.
• Check equipment for damage.
• Maximize utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with job duties on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete reports: Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders; be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedule and optimize for cost, quality and service.
