Job summary

GZQSO in Sterling Heights, MI is hiring a Machine Operator for the 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). You will operate production equipment, load and unload parts, and monitor machines to meet safety and quality standards.

Starting pay is $15.50/hour, with a raise to $17.00/hour after 90 days. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs. Prior machine-operating experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating, manufacturing, automotive, or production experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow machine operating instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery used to manufacture automotive components.
• Load and unload parts or materials from production equipment.
• Start, stop, and monitor machines during the production process.
• Perform basic machine checks and follow established operating procedures.
• Inspect finished parts for defects, damage, or other quality concerns.
• Remove completed parts and prepare them for the next stage of production.
• Maintain required production pace and quality standards.
• Report machine malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
