Job summary

Metal Company, Asheville is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator to set up and run bending equipment for our metal products. You will ensure accurate measurements and maintain product quality while operating machinery safely.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm in Asheville, NC. Starting pay is $19.80 per hour, with benefits and a potential pay increase upon permanent hire; steel-toe shoes are required, and background/drug tests will be completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to pass a measurement test.
• Successful completion of background and drug tests.
• Steel toe/composite shoes are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust machines as necessary for optimal performance.
• Load materials into the machine.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet specified measurements.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Handle unexpected tasks as they arise.
• Assist in training others on machinery.
