Position Summary:

The Machine Operator will operate CNC rotary draw tube benders and related equipment to produce precision metal components. This position is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of experience operating manufacturing or metal fabrication equipment and requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality parts in a safe, organized, and team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Benders: Set up, program, and run CNC rotary draw tube benders and radius tooling.
• Run Supporting Equipment: Operate saws, drill presses, and other fabrication machinery as needed.
• Read Blueprints: Follow blueprints and CAD data to confirm part requirements and bend sequences.
• Inspect Parts: Use measuring tools (calipers, protractors, Romer arms, CMMs) to check accuracy and complete "In Process Check Sheets" (Green Sheets).
• Make Adjustments: Identify part issues and make minor program or machine adjustments.
• Follow Schedules: Track production goals and follow daily work plans.
• Perform Maintenance: Complete basic machine maintenance, like fluid changes and filter replacements.
• Improve Processes: Suggest ways to reduce scrap, improve setup times, and streamline work.
• Work Safely: Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and work from CAD data
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependable and able to work well in a team
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts if needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials and parts. Standing for extended periods and operating machinery for long shifts may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNC bender experience (BLM or Eaton Leonard equipment a plus)
• Knowledge of tube fabrication processes (coping, notching, swaging, stamping)
• Previous CNC programming experience
