Position Summary

Leads are the first ownership of their floor area, first line of defense; if need more direction, reach out to supervisor. As the Break Reliever & Cross-Trained Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the supervisor and ensuring the smooth operation of our Shipping and Receiving Docks. This position requires someone who takes initiative, has a sense of urgency, is solution-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. This role will report directly to our Logistics Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate stretch wrap machines.
  • Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods including operating scanners or handheld devices used to move and track items.
  • Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to the schedule.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Computer-based order picking in cooler or freezer environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and shipped.
  • Check in and sign out drivers in log.
  • Inventory cycle-counting.
  • Check in raw materials, packaging supplies, and other deliveries according to procedures.
  • Label all incoming materials according to procedures.
  • Stock production lines with needed materials.
  • Keep warehouse areas interior and exterior clean and organized. Daily cleaning will be required.
  • Flexibility to work off-shifts, including days or nights, weekends, or holidays.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures, including product hold and traceability.
  • Report any discrepancies with product or code dates.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
Health & Safety
  • Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.
  • Make safety a priority, while carrying out daily activities.
  • Must ensure GMP policies are strictly adhered to.
  • Maintain all quality standards, rules and regulations are adhered to.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Internal: Respected team member with 5 or fewer attendance points.
  • Embraces feedback and maintains a coachable attitude.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership in a fast-paced environment, previous Lead experience a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and possess a Can-Do Attitude.
  • Consistently maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to inspire and guide team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Good problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset.

  • The role requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and twist as needed to perform job duties such as loading products, handling materials, or operating machinery.
  • The employee must be capable of working in varying temperature environments, including warm production areas, refrigerated rooms, and cold storage spaces.
  • The employee must be able to visually inspect products, labels, equipment, and documentation, with or without corrective lenses.
  • The employee must be able to operate or learn to operate production and/or warehouse equipment, which may include pallet jacks, conveyor systems, or other machinery, depending on the role.
  • The position may require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel‑toed shoes when working in production or warehouse areas.
  • The employee must be able to work in a food manufacturing and distribution environment where pork products, alcohol, gluten, dairy, and common allergens—including tree nuts and peanuts—are present.
  • The role may involve working overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on operational needs.
