Job summary

Greif is seeking a 1st Shift Line Operator to join our manufacturing team. Under direct supervision, you will prepare job sites, transport materials, use power tools, load and unload items, and collaborate with other plant workers to keep lines running smoothly.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, following safety rules, performing routine quality checks, and reporting issues to supervision.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.

• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.

• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine activities including, but not limited to preparing job sites, ensuring safety conditions, transporting materials, using power tools and other equipment, building temporary structures, and collaborating with other plant workers.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $15.82 - $25.24annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between18.10 to18.10. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
