Manufacturing Lead Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Lead Operator to oversee a production work center within our manufacturing department. The Lead Operator will coordinate daily activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and provide leadership and technical support to a team of operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met by team members.
• Maintain quality standards and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage daily operations, including scheduling, attendance, training, and production goals.
• Oversee material movement and ensure production areas are fully supplied.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and coordinate with Maintenance or Engineering as needed.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Monitor production performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assign and conduct training for operators; provide input on performance evaluations.
• Manage consumable inventories and order supplies as needed.
• Operate machinery, forklift, or other material handling devices as required.
• Support team operations directly as needed to meet production goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend schedules, work orders, and instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a production lead or supervisor in a machine-based manufacturing environment.
• Forklift operation experience or certification.
