Serve as a certified customer representative, ensuring product quality and compliance at every stage of the production lifecycle. This includes inspection of incoming materials from suppliers, in-process evaluations, First Article Inspections (FAIs), IOS updates, and final product assessments. Verify that all components and assemblies meet engineering drawings, tight tolerances, corporate quality procedures, and customer-specific requirements. May also act as an authorized customer source inspector or FAA delegate, reinforcing quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare to inspect by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections and testing procedures.
  • Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including routers, flow card, First Articles, etc.
  • Inspect internal processes and product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by measuring dimensions using instruments such as gages, calipers, comparators, micrometers, CMM etc.
  • Prepare parts for shipment to customers by creating advanced shipping notices (ASN’s), print and label bags, and populate customer spreadsheets with measurements as needed.
  • Perform visual inspection on parts utilizing IOS books and PowerPoint slides (Source files) associated with the part to ensure produce conformance.
  • Create first piece sheets and perform first pieces for Operators by inspecting work in progress.
  • Create, update, and maintain IOS books and First articles.
  • Fill out paperwork (electronic and paper) such as turnback forms, inspection or test data, and entering all part transactions into SAP.
  • Train and assist less experienced peers and operators.
  • Actively participate in ACE activities and communicate with operations to problem solve and establish priorities.
  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
  • Works under Minimal supervision. Works independently. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.
  • Applies semi-advanced skills to complete complex tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
  • Consistently works on a variety of highly complex tasks requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve highly complex problems. Makes recommendations for new procedures.
  • Over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
  • All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.

Qualifications We Require:

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
