Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Lead Compounder (1st shift) to supervise and guide compounders on the Union production line. You will manage batches, verify materials, operate equipment, and ensure records and SOPs are followed. This role emphasizes safety, QA collaboration, and timely production completion.

The position requires at least one year of compounding experience, ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and comfort wearing respirators. Union environment with competitive pay and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• One year of compounding experience preferred.
• Read English; sign records after each step.
• Able to lift materials/equipment weighing 25–50 lbs.
• Able to wear full/half face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Compound batches from a copy of the master formula and direct operators/compounders.
• Weigh raw materials; monitor batch procedures; set up equipment for manufacturing.
• Operate kettles and pumps; move materials to and from the compounding/suppository area.
• Monitor batches as processed; ensure batches are properly manufactured.
• Sign batch records and log entries; make required SOP sign-offs.
• Follow written instructions and all SOPs for MFG/Compounding.
• Clean equipment/containers/area as needed; follow appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Cooperate with QA inspectors.
• Maintain operating schedule and professional work relationships.
• Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
• Ensure water requirements are obtained as needed.
• Review activity of compounders/set-up operators to ensure work is completed.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour; 5x8 schedule.
