Job summary

Vestis Corporation is seeking a 1st Shift Op-Tunnel employee to work in our industrial laundry facility. You will be responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and out of the laundry area, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preparing work stations, handling hangers, and identifying items needing repairs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required, with a starting rate of $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepares their work station.
• Transfers hangers from hanger rack to shirt or pant hanging aid.
• For shirts, dresses shirt on hanger and pull sleeves.
• For pants, handles pant on hanger aid and places on conveyor.
• Identifies repairs and marks items needing repair with twist tie.
• Ensures garments are placed on an open conveyor pick.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows production practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
