Job summary

Tecomet in Manchester, NH is hiring a Laser Marking Operator I to run laser marking equipment according to customer prints. This full-time role focuses on starting up machines, setting up fixturing, and ensuring each piece is marked to specification.

You will perform 100% visual inspections, verify measurements with calipers and comparators, and read prints to maintain quality and productivity. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints (Level 2) preferred.
• Math aptitude to add/subtract decimals.
• Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with Drawing Editor software (Level 2).
• Experience with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators) preferred.

Position Summary

The Laser Marking Operator I will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers' prints and requirements.

• Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines
• Follows program notes to build and install fixturing.
• Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece.
• Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed.
• Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings.
• Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct
• Works independently and maintains productivity and quality.
• Reads and interprets prints.

Qualification Requirements

Credentials/Experience:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prefer the ability to read blue prints (Level 2) and use measurement tools (level 1)
• Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals.
• Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Prefer Drawing Editor software experience.(Level 2)
• Prefer working knowledge of working with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators)
