Job summary

Sadoff Iron and Metal is hiring a General Laborer for our Green Bay, WI facility. This full-time, Monday–Friday role supports scrap metal recycling with hands-on, physical work and a strong emphasis on safety.

Responsibilities include sorting materials, lifting and moving items, and maintaining quality standards while following PPE rules. Onboarding is provided, with opportunities to grow into higher-skill roles within the company.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related labor experience preferred, but not required.
• Hands-on training and a structured onboarding plan provided.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift and move materials safely.

What You’ll Do (Essential Job Functions)

• Sort materials by identifying and removing non‑conforming items.
• Maintain physical endurance while pushing, pulling, lifting, and performing repetitive movements.
• Follow quality specifications for materials based on customer and internal standards.
• Complete production reports accurately as needed.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as cleaning, basic repairs, or equipment support.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines to minimize risk.

Experience

• 1–2 years of related labor, manufacturing, construction, or warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for prolonged periods.
• Perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
• Lift, push, pull, bend, stretch, and carry materials as needed.
