Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a 1st Shift Inventory Specialist to perform physical counts, record data, and assist with research and resolution of discrepancies. You will operate the WMS to pull inventory reports, transfer data to Count Sheets, and conduct audits with attention to detail.

The role requires forklift operation, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with inventory counting and data entry.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Forklift operation ability required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory counts and record results accurately.
  • Run inventory reports from WMS and transfer data to Count Sheet.
  • Print and organize Count Sheets by location.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and research root causes.
  • Enter counts into system and report audit results.
  • Support operations, shipping and receiving as needed.

Pay Range:$19.00/hr + .50/hr Shift Diff

Shift: Monday – Friday 3:30pm to 11:30pm

YOURROLE

Responsible for physically performing inventory counts,recordingand reporting dataresultsand assisting with research and reconciling inventory discrepancies. Models and actsin accordance withour guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Run inventory report using theappropriate inventoryquery from WMS program and transfer data to Count Sheet template and shared network.
  • Print Count Sheets in location sequence.
  • Conduct physical inventory count and enter quantity onto Count Sheet.
  • Record and enter count results into system files.
  • Research inventory discrepancies by cycle counting discrepant items.
  • Run transaction history toidentifythe last locations that product was stored.
  • Conduct searchof"Staging" areas.
  • Perform "Empty" location audits.
  • Record and report the results of the count and audits.
  • Report findings to department supervisor or designated representative.
  • Assistin other areas such as operations, shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Ability to safely drive andoperatethe forklift.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, commonfractionsand decimals.
  • PC literate. Basicproficiencyin Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management,employeesand vendors.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Read,comprehendand write basic correspondence.
  • Effectively present information one-on-one or in small group situations.
  • Identifiesand resolves problemsin a timely manner.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Must be able to read,writeand speak English fluently.

Minimum:

High school diploma or GED.

Less thanone yearrelated experience.

Preferred:

Valid state issueddriver'slicense.
