Job summary

Family Dollar in Duncan, OK is seeking a team member for the Inventory Control Center. The role supports accurate inventory results and works with management to complete essential departmental functions.

The position requires 4–6 months clerical or similar experience in a warehouse setting, basic computer skills, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Training on safety and PIT equipment is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school preferred.
• Experience: 4–6 months clerical or similar work in Retail Distribution/Warehouse preferred.
• Basic Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows knowledge. WMS preferred.
• Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional up to 25 lbs, rare up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assigns pick locations, accurately, for maximum optimization as necessary.
• Performs DC allocation process.
• Reconciles Receiving documents to accounting reports.
• Verifies inventory locations and resolves issues (bust-out, stock decks, pick slots, cycle counts, transfers).
• Performs data entries and updates reports accurately.
• Verifies and releases breakdowns accurately.
• Counts locations as assigned or requested.
• Audits operations departments as assigned by management.
• Processes all merchandise returns to vendor.
• Re-ticket/re-package merchandise and initiate vendor chargebacks.
• Completes daily PIT checklist for equipment safety and reports defects.
• Operates PIT equipment safely.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe environment.
• Keeps an organized work area and promotes safety in Inventory Control.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
