Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Vehicle Inspector (PDI) in Lafayette, IN to ensure vehicle quality on the 1st shift (6am-2pm). You will inspect lights, doors, locks, windows and other components, perform function checks, and label vehicles as needed.

Ideal candidates have a clean driving record, keen attention to detail, and are comfortable working outdoors or in various weather conditions. Overtime may be required to meet production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect functionality of lights, doors, locks, windows, and other accessories.
• Perform external/internal visual checks for damage and ensure defect-free vehicles proceed.
• Conduct function checks for buttons, lights, safety features and other vehicle functions.
• Use scanner to verify correct pieces are placed in the vehicle.
• Install required labels.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

PDI employees inspect functionality of lights, doors, locks, windows, and other accessory items.

• Perform external/internal visual checks for damage sending defect free vehicles to the next check.
• Perform function checks as required for every button, light, safety functions, and other functions for each vehicle.
• Utilize scanner to ensure correct pieces are placed in vehicle.
• Install required labels.

Work within a team setting to meet production and quality expectations.

ABOUT YOU

You have a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and your current and past bosses still rave about you!
