Security Clearance: None/Not Required

Conducts essential inspections of products—including components, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, and precision instruments—at critical points throughout the manufacturing process to verify strict adherence to design specifications, engineering blueprints, and contractual standards. Employs industry-standard inspection tools and methodologies to ensure product integrity and quality. Acts as the lead inspection authority, empowered to certify and release products for shipment in compliance with regulatory guidelines and customer requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Inspect a variety of fuel nozzles using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g., micrometers, gauges, calipers) with proper inspection techniques.
  • Read, interpret, and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation.
  • Perform 1st article inspection of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components from outside vendors.
  • Review certificate of conformance packages for purchased components.
  • Serve as the primary source inspection on shipments going to customers.
  • Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks (e.g., Search, ProductCenter, SAP, customer portals).
  • Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
  • Complete unit shakedowns to check for foreign objects, rattles, and loose hardware.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to files management.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Manufacturing background.
  • Manual dexterity for machine operations.
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Computer experience (email, documents, internet) and ability to learn to operate a computer for accessing prints and instructions.
  • Basic shop math, including Geometric Tolerances.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and management.
