Job summary

Morton Industries, LLC is hiring a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on plant machinery and facilities. Tasks include welding, carpentry, electric, pipe fitting, and plumbing repairs as needed, working from plans and sketches to construct equipment for plant use.

The role requires installations and troubleshooting of power, wiring, and automation components, plus test and repair of transformers, motors, and control systems. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree with a technical focus or 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Installs power supply, wiring, and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment; connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments.

Education
