Job summary

Acument Global Technologies in Frankfort, KY is seeking a Heat Treat Operator to run the hardening/ tempering furnace and related equipment, ensuring production and quality standards are met. The role is a 1st shift position with emphasis on precise data entry and documentation.

The operator must demonstrate knowledge of process controls, scheduling, and customer requirements, plus forklift certification, strong math skills, and teamwork to support maintenance and improvements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or relevant experience required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs.
• Strong math skills for gauging and SPC interpretation.
• Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Proficiency with operator documentation and data entry.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience reading gauges, blueprints, and performing GAUGE tasks.
• Forklift certification and safety-focused mindset.
• Understanding of neutral heat treatment effects and CQI-9 standards.
• Capable of legibly completing records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate the heat treating furnace and related equipment to meet production and quality standards.
• Follow all environmental, health, safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain awareness of process controls, scheduling, parameters, and customer requirements.
• Ensure proper equipment operation and efficient scheduling; shut down furnace when needed.
• Perform required documentation with accurate data entry and signatures.
• Move material using a forklift or non-motorized devices when needed.
• Coordinate with management on maintenance and equipment upkeep.
• Assist other operators and suggest process improvements.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines; ensure correct records.
